Ontor Limited is a national distributor of Industrial Automation products including Programmable Controllers, AC Drives, Operator Interface, SCADA and Plant Management Software, Industrial Controls, Sensors and Safety Products. We provide pre-sales, post-sales service and training support for the products that we represent in the Canadian Marketplace.
Under general supervision, in a timely and accurate manner, provides inside sales support to ISD customers consisting of technical, sales and delivery support as defined by corporate order processing policies and procedures; and ensures that all orders are accurate and complete and meet the customers' expectations prior to shipping. The focus of the Inside Sales Representative is on developing strong customer relationships, enhancing sales and providing technical support to customers. In addition to these duties the candidate will be expected to answer the phones, do some shipping and receiving, order office supplies, update contact lists and general clerical work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We require at three to five years of related experience ideally in a customer service high volume distribution work environment.
Other requirements include: strong interpersonal, customer service, leadership and communication skills; ability to multi-task in time sensitive work environment with shifting timelines and schedules; good understanding of basic concepts of customer service and order processing; familiarity with Industrial Systems industry and products (an asset); good computer skills -MS Office and Advanced Eclipse; attention to detail and strong technical aptitude

We provide pre-sales, post-sales service and training support for the products that we represent in the Canadian Marketplace.
As a Technical Sales Representative you will maintain an existing customer base in a defined territory. You will also be responsible for cultivating new accounts and growing the business in your area, by identifying new potential clients, assessing their technical needs, and using the Regional Product Specialist(s) to assist you in closing the business. Developing and executing a sales strategy will secure new business, and you will manage the process and effectively utilize internal resources to provide a total solution, which would include as wide a product offering as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
We require an Engineering Technologist Certification or equivalent (Professional Engineer) with a minimum of three to five years related sales experience within a high volume Industrial System sales and distribution environment. Experience in selling electrical and automation equipment. PLC's, HMI, Safety and Industrial Control would be beneficial. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with others. Experience with Siemens Automation Products and Industrial Control Products is an asset. We expect a strong technical aptitude, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. The ability to work in a team environment is considered critical.

C’est pourquoi nous sommes à la recherche d’un ingénieur ou de technicien désireux d’œuvrer dans un domaine hautement compétitif directement relié à l’automatisation de l’ensemble de l’industrie canadienne avec un ensemble de responsabilité très diversifiée. La personne occupant ce poste est responsable de fournir l'appui technique pour nos clients et pour nos représentants de ventes. Elle est responsable de donner de l’assistance technique sur un ensemble de produits d’automatisation, incluant les automates programmables, les interfaces personne/ machine et la réseautique industrielle.
Responsabilités spécifiques
1. Offrir l’assistance technique pour les produits qui lui sont assignés;
2. Développer des architectures en fonction des besoins des clients;
3. Faire des présentations et des démonstrations;
4. Communiquer et documenter les problèmes et les solutions techniques à l'équipe;
5. Assurer la liaison avec nos fournisseurs;
6. Pratique et étique professionnelle au téléphone. Gérer les attentes du client.
Connaissances et aptitudes requises
1. Solides connaissances des automates programmables (à noter que la connaissance des automates de la marque Siemens serait un atout);
2. Doit être bilingue (français et anglais) avec de bonnes capacités orales et écrites dans les deux langues;
3. Connaissances générales de l’environnement Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows 2000/XP et des réseaux Ethernet;
4. Une expérience industrielle est essentielle pour le poste senior, le poste junior vise plus une personne débutant sa carrière;
5. Être autonome et organisé;
6. Facilité à travailler en équipe;
7. Intérêt pour le domaine de la vente;
8. Exceller en communication et relation humaine;
9. Grande aptitude à apprendre.
Conditions de travail
1. Travail de bureau pendant les heures normales d’ouverture;
2. Peut demander des heures supplémentaires occasionnelles;
3. Possibilité de devoir se déplacer chez le client. Une voiture est requise;
4. La position exige de pouvoir voyager aux États-Unis pour des fins de formation.
Éducation minimale requise
1. Études universitaires ou collégiales dans le domaine de l’automatisation, de logiciels ou de l’informatique.
