YOU ARE HERE: About Us / Our Values
Ontor Values and CompetenciesOntor has adopted these core values and competencies.
1. Meet or exceed the agreed-upon expectations of our Customers and Staff 100% of the time-(Quality of Efforts)
- This core value means that every individual within our company will do what they have said they would do when they said they would do it. This philosophy applies to internal commitments (those made to co-workers) and external commitments (those made to customers and suppliers).
2. Respect for the individual-(Interpersonal Relations)
- This core value means that we each respect the individual rights of our
co-workers, customers and suppliers. It means that we do not negatively criticize and degrade people in front of others. Rather, we constructively coach each other in the proper setting. It means treating people in a pleasant and courteous manner. It means treating others with the same respect and dignity we would expect from them. 3. Developing and nurturing an “open communications” environment-(Communication)
- This core value means that we each make ourselves “approachable” and easy to talk to. It means we encourage value-adding communications throughout all levels of the organization, and with our customers and our suppliers. It means we generously listen to the comments and ideals of others whatever they may be.
4. Honesty and integrity in all that we do-(Integrity)
- This core value means that we ensure our individual and collective actions meet ethical and legal standards.
5. Ensuring each other’s success-(Teamwork, Initiative)
- This core value is critical to the success of our desired “process-oriented” state. Quite simply, this value implies that what we do outside of our functional areas is at least as important as what we do inside our functional areas. “Turf” does not exist. Helping your co-worker succeed ensures cross-functional processes become more effective.
6. Accountability-(Follow Thorough, Adaptability and Flexibility)
- This core value means taking ownership of one's responsibility to ensure the success of the company. It means following through to make sure the jobs assigned are done properly. Each Ontor Team member is responsible to the other members of the team for doing their best to complete their duties on time and to the best of their abilities.
7. Health and Safety
- This core value means that we all take responsibility in creating a work environment that is safe and secure for each other. This is one of the highest priorities of the Company.
