Inside Sales Team

Our friendly and knowledgeable inside sales team can assist you with the following tasks;

  • Order Processing – enter orders, advise on deliveries
  • Product Information – provide literature, drawings, catalogs, pricelists (via: mail, fax or email)
  • Application Assistance - phone assistance in choosing, applying, or selecting the right products for your application.

Outside Technical Sales Team

Our Outside Sales team has the training and many years of field experience you would come to expect from a distributor. Below are just some of their capabilities:

  • Seminars – can be done for any products we represent at any of Ontor’s offices or on site at your location.
  • Product Demonstrations - live working demos to show product functionality
  • Lunch & Learn Presentations – when working with shorter time slots we can do product specific seminars and provide a complimentary lunch.

Warehousing & Shipping

In addition to our 30,000 square foot facility in Toronto, which houses the bulk of our inventory, we also carry stock in all of our eight branch offices around the country. Here are just some of the things Ontor does to make doing business easier.

  • Inventory Control – we maintain inventory levels that minimize out of stock and/or long lead-time situations on product lines we represent
  • Urgent Delivery’s – In some cases when you urgently need a product that we have in stock on the same day, we can have a member of our sales team make the delivery directly to you at your facility or to the jobsite.
  • Drop shipments can be made.
  • 24 hour turn around time on most stock orders

Accounting Department

  • Quick & Easy New Account Setup - open credit within 24 hours after complete credit check on RUSH orders, 5-10 day open account for regular orders
  • Payment Options - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Terms, Prepayment, COD shipments, Special terms upon request/review
  • Sales Activity Reports - sales history by product & part number to optimize available discounting or inventory levels.

Ontor Limited is full service distributor serving systems integrators, oem’s and end users alike. Our staff has over 50 years of experience with industrial controls, factory automation and machine safeguarding. Here are a few of the services that set us apart from the rest.

  • Aluminum Structural Framing Systems – Ontor can provide you with the Vario Aluminum Profile system with the following processes applied; Cut to length, Drilling, Counterboring, Tapping, Strepdrilling. We can also provide a full design and build service and ship a completed assembly to your plant. Alternately, you can provide us with your own CAD design and we will take care of the rest.
  • Din Rail - custom cut to length to your specifications
  • Custom Cables – build to specified lengths and wiring connectors to your requirements
  • Custom Marking - for terminal blocks, industrial controls, wire labelling, equipment labelling , etc.
  • Burn EPROM Chips - with program documentation if needed
  • Product Cross Referencing – we can cross reference competitive manufacturers part numbers and/or descriptions to state of the art products that we represent.

Emergency Service

Emergency 24 hour field service - In the event that an emergency does happen after hours or on the weekend, be assured that Ontor will be there to help. Emergency service is available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.   If after hours just call our main switchboard at our Toronto office (416) 781-5286 and you will be provided with options to connect directly to our 'After Hours Support Staff' depending on the area of expertise you require. 


 

Product Repairs

In the event that your equipment requires servicing or repair, you can rely on Ontor to coordinate the return, evaluation and repair of your defective equipment directly with the manufacturers that we represent for factory warranty and out of warranty repairs. Ontor also works very closely with Electrical South who is "The Leader in Industrial Electronics Repair". Electrical South's repair capabilities include over 120,000 different part numbers from most equipment manufacturers throughout the world. Product Training

Ontor represents a wide range of very technical controls and automation products for industry and we also can provide training for many of the software and hardware systems. We have several courses that have been pre-designed to bring you up to speed and give you the knowledge and confidence to create and manage programming projects on your own. Depending on the background and experience of the students, these courses can also be customized and tailored to meet your needs. We usually hold these courses at an Ontor facility, but are not limited to that.
