Governor Gas Regulator

Pietro Fiorentini's Governor line of gas regulators are designed to comply with the latest CSA and International standards for regulators suitable for indoor or outdoor installations with no modifications.

The Governor family of regulators are ideal for all burner installations and for low pressure gas distribution systems.  The materials and soft parts used in the construction of the Governor regulators makes them suitable for use with natural gas, LPG, Propane air and all other non corrosive gases.

All the Governor regulators are equipped with balanced valve design for high outlet pressure accuracy regardless of any inlet pressure variation.  The double diaphragm provides added security in case of primary diaphragm failure.  The integral vent limiter eliminates the need for costly piping for indoor installations and complies with CSA guidelines.  The number of regulator options sometimes eliminates the need for separate units and significantly reduced installation costs.

- Inlet pressures about 2 psig require over pressure protection.

Domestic and Industrial Service Regulators

143-80 & 243

Invensys Energy Metering's family of service regulators is designed and built for domestic gas service, as well as some commercial and industrial applications such as burners, furnaces, ovens, heaters and gas engines. They have a simple, modern design and rugged construction, offering greater dependability, precise pressure control, and outstanding performance. The regulators are designed to be installed in numerous mounting positions and are simple to adjust and service.

Field and High Pressure Service Regulators

141-A & 046

Invensys Energy Metering's field and high pressure service regulators combine simplicity of design with rugged construction, exceptional performance, and operational safety to provide dependable, flexible, and economical answers for pounds-to-pounds pressure regulation applications.

Combustion and Industrial Regulators

121 & 122

Invensys Energy Metering's industrial combustion regulators combine new technology with modern design to provide greater capacity, higher inlet pressure, more accurate performance, and faster speed of response. In most cases, this will allow the use of a smaller regulator. Both the 121 and 122 models have high strength, corrosion resistant, die-cast diaphragm cases and cast iron bodies, assuring a highly functional regulator at a better price. Both models incorporate soft seat valve material plus a precision machined "knife edge" orifice to provide a positive, tight shutoff. Invensys Energy Metering's industrial combustion regulators can be used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications including: burners, boilers, furnaces, air heaters, kilns, or gas engines where fast response will improve performance.

2" Self-Operated Intermediate Capacity Regulators

461-S, 461-8S, 461-12S, 461-57S & 461-X57

Invensys Energy Metering's family of 2" self-operated 461 regulators is designed to fit a wide range of intermediate capacity regulator needs.

Pilot-Operated Intermediate Capacity Regulators

1100, 1200 & 243-RPC

Invensys Energy Metering's 1100, 1200 and 243-RPC pilot operated regulators are designed to fit your specialized intermediate capacity regulator needs. These regulators provide sensitivity and a high degree of accuracy for fixed factor billing on modulating loads. Note, solenoid load applications are not recommended. Load limiting regulators on the inlet supply to the pilot will improve the accuracy of these products.

Self-Operated Low-Pressure Large Capacity Regulators

441-S

The 441-S series comprises Invensys Energy Metering's family of low pressure regulators designed to fit your large capacity pressure regulation needs. They are balanced valve, spring type regulators. Simple basic design has been combined with sturdy construction to make them exceptionally dependable and easy to adjust and service. Large, flexible diaphragms combined with accurately calibrated springs enable these large capacity regulators to produce precise pressure control while maintaining a high level of sensitivity and stability. The combination of their fast response, dependability, and accuracy make the 441-S models ideal for monitoring, as well as other applications where speed and accuracy are significant.

Self-Operated High-Pressure Large Capacity Regulators

441-57S & 441-X57

The 441-57S, and 441-X57 families of Invensys Energy Metering regulators are designed to fit your large capacity regulator needs. Both incorporate the "roll-out" diaphragm, which approximates the performance of a pilot-operated regulator and makes this exceptional performance possible because its action reduces "droop" to a minimum.

Pilot-Operated Large Capacity Regulators

441-VPC

Invensys Energy Metering's 441-VPC pilot operated regulators are designed to fit your specialized large capacity regulator needs. These regulators provide sensitivity, high capacity, and a high degree of accuracy for fixed factor billing on modulating loads. The 441-VPC incorporates Invensys Energy Metering's extremely successful 441 series regulators with a pilot for sensing regulated pressure, and for controlling overall operation. Use of a 441-VPC is especially recommended where extremely close control is required. These regulators can be remotely controlled by using air loading in the pilot upper case. Because of the exceptionally close control offered by the 441-VPC family, they are ideal for applications such as district and station regulator sets, distribution systems, transmission systems, compressor stations, and large capacity industrial combustion systems where a high degree of accuracy is required. Note, solenoid load applications are not recommended. Load limiting regulators on the inlet supply to the pilot will improve the accuracy of these products.

Safety Relief Valves

Invensys Energy Metering safety relief valves are compact and easy to install. They offer an economical installation with large relieving capacity. In addition, operation is positive and simple. Invensys Energy Metering safety relief valves are designed for use in large capacity applications, including gas distribution systems, metering sets, and industrial applications.

Indoor/Ventless Gas Pressure Regulator (PRV) with No Requirements for Ventlines

ELIMINATE THE VENT-LINES AND START SAVING LABOUR DOLLARS

PROBLEM:

Currently, regulators are installed indoors with an internal safety relief valve.  The discharge point of the regulator vent is then hard piped to atmosphere by cutting holes in the ceiling, roof and wall.
Connecting vent-lines and the associated work is labour intensive and esthetically unpleasing.
Currently, there is no proactive maintenance process to ensure these vent-lines are regularly examined for corrosion, animal habitats or even simply cut off or dismantled which is a serious safety hazard.

CANADIAN STANDARDS ASSOCIATION (CSA) - B149.1
Clause 5.2.3.2   "for systems with inlet pressures above 2 psig (14 kPa), a pressure regulator equipped to limit the escape of gas from the vent openings, even in the event of a main diaphragm failure, to less than 2.5 ft/hr (0.0706 m3/hr), having an over-pressure cut-off (OPCO) device set to the pressure either below 2 psig (14 kPa) or 2 times the delivery pressure on the system and certified to CSA 6.18, is exempt from compliance with Clause 5.2.1.5 (b) of this Code."

SOLUTION - BRYAN DONKIN RMG CANADA INDOOR, VENTLESS GAS PRESSURE REGULATORS

The regulators are manufactured with NO internal relief valve assembly.
Due to the lack of an internal relief valve, the assembly is sold with an integral safety slam-shut valve or Over Pressure Cut-Off valve (OPCO) to protect against any over pressure conditions or regulator failure.
To protect against the possiblity of diaphragm ruptures or failures, all regulators commissioned indoor have to incorporate a vent-limiting device.  The ball check has been widely utilized vent limiting device but has many limitations.  It has to be installed in a specific orientation (vertical or horizontal)  depending on the design and restricts performance/accuracy of the regulator when there are changes in volume of atmosphere on the upper side of the main diaphragm.

Bryan Donkin RMG Regulators utilized safety diaphragms (SDs) as our vent limiting device.  They protect against gas entering the surrounding environment upon regulator or diaphragm failures plus maintain the performance/accuracy of the regulator.
