The SIGUARD laser scanner LS4 is an optical distance sensor. The device periodically transmits light pulses within a working range of 190°. If these pulses hit an obstacle or a person, the light is reflected, received by the laser scanner and evaluated. The scanner calculates the exact coordinates of the "seen" obstacle from the light propagation time. If the obstacle/person is within the programmed zone, the scanner initiates a safe shutdown.

Safety Laser Scanner, suitable for the protection of workers exposed to risks arising from the use of hazardous machines and automated guidance vehicles (AGVs). Pharo creates horizontal or vertical protection areas through programming or self-teaching, up to an amplitude of 190°
