 Cable Entry & Holding Systems

For years, Murrplastik Systemtechnik GmbH has offered cable entry systems, cable entry panel systems, strain relief plates and cable holding systems. Right from the beginning priority was given to a systematic approach. The priority has always been to design products which offer definite application advantages to the customer. The KDL cable entry system has been developed to enable pre-assembled cables e.g. servo cables, computer cables and bus-leads, to be fed into control panels without the need to remove the plugs. An additional advantage is that the design also offers strain relief to the cables and options to discharge of sheath currents has also been integrated into the cable fixing plate. A further innovation is the KDP cable entry plate, which offers a real alternative to cable fittings. The KDP boasts enormous savings potential through rapid installation. A lower footprint and user-friendly assembly are two of the major advantages that this product offers.

 

Split Cable Entry Systems - KDL/E

The KDL/E represents the 3rd generation of Murrplastik cable entry system and is the fastest and simplest method of assembly of pre-fabricated cables. Cables with plugs and connectors no longer need to be dismantled. They can simply be routed into the KDL/E housing directly and without interference. The single-piece frame no longer needs to be joined together. The provided catch hooks significantly speed up mounting of the entire plate. Vario grommets reduce the need for grommets with different diameters. This ultimately means significantly simpler and quicker assembly.

  • Snap in mounting, meaning screw mounting on is no longer absolutely necessary, but is still optional
  • Mounting catch hook for 1.5 - 2.0 mm plate thickness included with delivery, additional catch hooks for up to 4.1mm plate thickness available.
  • Fits standard cut-outs for 16 or 24 pole rectangular multipole connectors (e.g. Harting, Phoenix, Wieland, ILME, etc).
  • Simple EMV discharge plates are well suited for discharging interference currents which may occur on cable sheaths. Discharge plates are mounted on the inside of the control panel.

Split Cable Entry Systems - KDL

The KDL is the original split cable entry system. The KDL is a combination of twp piece cable plate and round grommets. In this cleverly designed system, both the plate and the grommets are split. This allows the cable entry plate to be opened, and cables with molded or prewired connectors can be inserted without any modifications.

  • Split grommets for cables diameters varying from 3 to 29mm (0.11" to 1.14")
  • Easy, fast assembly with split grommets and cable plates
  • Fits standard cut-outs for 16 or 24 pole rectangular multipole connectors (e.g. Harting, Phoenix, Wieland, ILME, etc).
  • Strain relief on larger grommets
  • Integrated label carriers
  • High degree of protection to IP54

There are also metal versions available (KDL/EMV) designed specifically for discharging interference currents which may occur on cable sheaths.  The use of metal coated cable plates along with special grommets utilizing conductive tape helps to discharge unwanted interferences.

An alternative method is to use the standard KDL with the KDL-AB discharge plate.

Cable Entry Plates - KDP

10 times faster and with a simultaneous space saving of up to 50 % compared with conventional cable fittings. Take advantage of these huge potential savings. The plastic KDP is simply clicked into the cut-outs for connectors and the cable is then pushed through - and the cable insertion is already done! The cable entry plate is an entry and fastening system for electric cables and pneumatic hoses such as those used in control cabinet, plant or machine construction. Wherever quick assembly is required with high packing density and cables must be protected, the cable insertion system is used.
