The 3LD2 manual motor disconnect switches are used for the reliable electrical isolation by switching of main and auxiliary circuits, switching three-phase motors and other loads such as air conditioners up to 45 KW. The lockable rotary operating mechanism ensures the optimal use as a maintenance and repair switch up to 125 A.

The 3LD2 is the natural choice, during maintenance and repair work or during extended shutdown, due to its simple screwless modular design with minimum space requirement. Switching devices for front panel mounting in control cabinets and machine tools and switching devices with base mounting and a door coupling rotary mechanism in small switchgear installations rated at 16 A to 125 A can be supplied with either four-hole mounting or center-hole mounting. When installed in a molded plastic case, they are suitable for use in environments subject to dust and hosewater. They afford a high degree of protection against accidental contact and integral lockability, when installed in distribution systems in standard masking frames. All available designs are manually operated disconnect switches as defined by IEC 60947-3/ DIN VDE 0660, Part 107 (EN 60947-3). They satisfy the requirements for electrical isolation and also meet the requirements of the directive for electrical machines EN 60204-1.

The 3LD2 has proven to be indispensible in particular for processing machines employed in the mechanical engineering sector, for conveyor systems and in the food industry.
