Simatic ET200S FC Frequency ConverterSIMATIC ET 200S is the distributed I/O station that guarantees lasting savings in life-cycle costs with the highest flexibility. Installation couldn't be easier and the bit-modular design of the ET 200S enables multifunctional use of the station. The multifunctional ET200S can now communicate over PROFINET as well as over PROFIBUS, giving the proven and field-tested I/O station all the advantages of Ethernet communication. Modules for the ET 200S include power modules, digital or analog input and output modules, technology modules and motor starters. The ET200S is also equipped for fail-safe signal modules and motor starters. Completely new is the ET 200S frequency converter, which makes it possible to perform variable-speed drive tasks for up to 4 kW power. | - New application possibilities are opened up for the ET 200S system where continuous control of the speed of asynchronous motors is required.
- The frequency converter handles simple drive tasks (frequency control) or even more complex drive tasks (vector control). In addition to simple drive tasks, the converter also supports torque control for conveyor applications, winding and unwinding drives, as well as hoisting gear. Together with a motor encoder, the range extends up to closed-loop controls for exact control of speeds and torques.
- The advantages of line-commutated power regeneration are primarily evident in continuous regenerative operation. Examples include unwinding units, lowering of loads with hoisting gear, or electric braking of large centrifugal masses.
- Together with an intelligent header module (IM 151 CPU) and the ET 200S FC frequency converter, the I/O station is expanded to become a complete automation solution for machine modules.

| Simodrive Posmo Motor-integrated design and installation direct at the machine: For distributed drive solutions, the servo drives of the SIMODRIVE POSMO series, which offer a high degree of protection, shift the drive technology from the cabinet directly to the machine. Flexibility of the machine concept, minimal outlay for cabling, fast assembly and commissioning, short conversion times, easy maintenance and high availability are direct advantages for the OEM and for those using machines with SIMODRIVE POSMO drives. | SIMODRIVE POSMO A POSMO A is an intelligent, distributed positioning motor (75/300 W drives) connected to PROFIBUS-DP. Its consequentially distributed concept is establishing a new level in Drive technology. Compact mounting of converter power section, motor control, encoder, holding brake (300 W), positioning control, program memory, and communications interface on the motor. The motor can be equipped with a modular gearbox with graduated planetary gearing (one gearbox per motor) or worm gearing (75 W). | 
| SIMODRIVE POSMO SI POSMO SI is a 1-axis servo drive for a distributed servo drive system as direct node on the PROFIBUS DP. This servo drive system is a self-contained, fully functional mechatronic unit. Power and information electronics is integrated in the motor with the SIMODRIVE POSMO SI. The power is supplied via the DC link voltage (600 V typ ) which must be generated by an external mains supply. The 24 V DC electronics power supply is generated separately in the unit. |  | SIMODRIVE POSMO CD / CAPOSMO CD (without mains infeed) and POSMO CA (with mains infeed) are complete converter and control units for a distributed 1-axis servo-drive system, and are direct nodes on the PROFIBUS DP. They make it possible to solve control and drive tasks using independent, modular functional units directly "on site" at the machine. This servo system can be installed virtually anywhere close to a motor thanks to its high degree of protection IP 65.
