Murrelektronik has a wide range of field wireable connectors that allows you to make the perfect length cable. They utilize insulation displacement technology (IDC) to reduce the time and effort needed to make cable connections compared to the traditional method of using screw terminals or soldering pins.
They require no special tools or additional parts. Field personnel simply have to cut and strip the cable, slip it through the locknut and grommet, slide the individual conductors into the conductor separator by color code, then trim excess cable and reassemble the connector.
The connectors are capable of handling up to 4-conductor cable. Contact is made with the conductors by screwing down the locknut. Once properly assembled, both the M12 and M8 IDC connectors maintain an IP67 rating.

The MVP12 Passive Distribution Box provides a low-profile, lightweight, low-cost multi-interconnection solution that reduces the amount of cabling and space required to wire a machine or control panel.
Rated to IP67 and available in 4-, 6- or 8-port versions, the MVP12 box has a connector with screw terminals for quick wiring installation, as well as integrated LED power and signal indicators. Optional power isolation permits each side of the box to be powered separately. A new connection housing design makes installation easier, allows for different lengths and types of cable, and permits rapid replacement if the cable is ever damaged. A built-in quick-disconnect feature makes disassembly for transport easier when the MVP12 is used on larger systems. And, as with all Murrelektronik interconnect solutions, everything is pluggable and clearly labeled.

Exact8 – the new generation of Murrelektronik M8 distributors in slim, two-row 30 mm wide design. This allows you to concentrate the greatest possible number of signals in reallyconfined spaces. The NO contacts of our 4-pin distributors are equipped with white LEDs for the reliable indication of signal states. The Exact8 installation system offers a multitude of options, specially for applications in tight spaces, thanks to the additional InLine mounting holes provided on the side. The new, unique hood concept needs no tools for mounting, which means extremely short installation times: now you can use plugs instead of screws.

The housing material is another novelty in the sector of M8 distributors. It consists of a durable PUR encapsulation that is extremely resistant to shocks and vibration. Our wide range of variants is optimized to cover all applications.

For particularly touch environments, we offer the extremely robust and totally encapsulated MVP12 metal distributor. It can be fitted close to the process by a fixed main cable or M23 plug connectors. The MVP12-M family also includes intelligent diagnostic distributors, fully shielded variants, distributors for nominal voltages up to 125 VAC/VDC, and ATEX-II 3 G/D approved variants.

The shielded distribution boxes can be used to transmit analog signals, such as 4...20mA, or to connect digital signals in critical or noisy environments. The continuous shielding from the sensor to the cabinet using our M12 shielded cables and distribution box prevents interference from outside sources affecting the performance of analog or digital components.
