New Modular Limit Switches - 3SE5

When processes permit objects to be touched, Siemens mechanical switches provide an economical presence-sensing solution. The new 3SE5 series of limit switches is modular in design with many standardized components allowing you to choose from a wide variety of body sizes and actuator styles. Plug in design simplifies installation and replacement of actuator heads. All actuator heads can be rotated in 22.5 degree increments. Siemens limit switches meet or exceed the requirements of NEMA, EEMAC, UL, CSA, IEC, VDE and other international standards.

Contacts - new 3 pole blocks

• Snap Action Contacts (1NO/1NC or 1NO/2NC). NC contacts and NO contacts switch at the same time regardless of speed
• Slow Action Contacts (1NO/1NC or 1NO/2NC). Difference in travel between "NC contact opens" and "NO contact closes" ; the switching speed is the same os or proportional to the actuation speed.
• Most contacts modules/devices can be used in safety circuits up to EN954-1 Category 4 due to positive opening design.

World wide, it's the most accurate mechanical precision switch. It's unique design sets the My-Com apart from other mechanically actuated devices, with a switching accuracy of +/- 1 micron; that's only 40 millionths of an inch! It is the ideal solution for applications where extremely accurate set points are needed. The unique design of the My-Com includes a gold plated ball and contacts to minimize electrical resistance across the switch. Zirconium oxyde, Ruby or hardened steel is used for the activator to minimize thermal effects and wear.

Typical applications for this high degree of sensitivity are as a control stop for X-Y positioning tables and as a zero stop in machine tools.
