Inductive Proximity Sensors


Siemens BERO proximity sensors operate by sensing variance in a magnetic field caused by metallic objects. They offer exceptional reliability, high precision, high repetition accuracy and long service life - yet they tolerate a wide range of industrial environmental conditions. Our very extensive product line means you can select a model to meet virtually any proximity sensor requirement.

Capacitive Proximity Sensors


As an alternative to inductive BEROs, capacitive BEROs are also available that can detect non-conductive materials in solid, liquid or granular form, e. g. glass, plastic, wood, oil, water and paper.  
 




Inductive Proximity Sensors


Reliability and ease of use have made the Inductive Proximity switch the sensor of choice for numerous applications in Automation and Robotics. These switches can detect any metal target and are highly insensitive to harsh industrial environments containing dirt, humidity, dust and oil.

Capacitive Proximity Sensors

Capacitive proximity switches are non-contact sensors capable of detecting a wide range of materials such as paper, glass, plastic, oil, water, as well as all metals. The sensor output responds when the object to be detected is located at a certain distance from the sensor element. A potentiometer allows you to make adjustments to fine tune the sensor for your application.

Inductive Proximity Sensors


Cutler-Hammer offers a wide variety of tubular inductive sensors to fit most applications, such as extended range, field mable and specialty models.
Cutler-Hammer® Pancake Style Inductive Proximity Sensors from Eaton's electrical business are self-contained, solid-state devices capable of sensing a standard target at a distance of up to 100 mm (3.94 inches) well beyond the range of most other inductive proximity sensors. The sensors are ideal for heavy industrial environments such as: steel mills, automotive manufacturing, pipe and rod mills, conveyors, cranes and assembly lines.             

The modular Inductive Proximity Sensor family combines high performance, rugged housing with a familiar limit switch style housing. Modular, plug-in components provide application flexibility, ease of maintenance, less downtime and reduced inventory. Choose from 2-wire sensors with AC/DC operation, or 4-wire sensors in either AC or DC styles. Connection options include terminal, mini-connector or various lengths of cable.

Choose from standard sensors that detect all types of metallic targets, or sensors designed to detect only a specific type of metal (ferrous only or non-ferrous only).

Capacitive Proximity Sensors


Type E53 Capacitive Proximity Sensors are self-contained devices designed to detect both metallic and nonmetallic targets. They are ideally suited for liquid level control and for sensing powdered or granulated material. For best operation, they should be used in an environment having relatively constant temperature and humidity.
