Vision Sensor SIMATIC VS 110

The intelligent vision sensors SIMATIC VS 110 , VS 120 und VS 130 were specially developed for application-specific image processing. Because of their very simple operation no special knowledge of image processing is necessary, since the sensors are trained rather than programmed.

SIMATIC VS 110 The intelligent Vision Sensor

The VS 110 was developed for the outline inspection of different parts. Our sensor is especially suitable for an optical inspection of small parts which are fed into assembly line. Using transmitting light, the vision sensor VS 110 inspects the test piece. The criteria relevant to differentiation or inspection must be clearly recognizable in the silhouette/outline of a part. Sensor head and lighting unit are installed across from each other on the conveyor.

With SIMATIC VS 110, three different form inspection tasks can be performed in a single test step:

  • Inspection correct part
  • Inspection damaged part
  • Inspection part correctly positioned

SIMATIC VS 110 can directly control pneumatic valves or miniature relays for ejection or rotation of bad parts.

Vision Sensor SIMATIC VS 710

Our General Purpose Systems SIMATIC VS 710 and SIMATIC VS 720-series are ideally suited to flexible production solutions. These systems let you keep track of your production around the clock and give you complete control of your production process. Six vision sensors feature scalability with respect to the verification task, analysis rate, resolution, monochromatic and color detection – the perfect image processing solution for any inThe Visionsensor SIMATIC ® VS 710 is a complete image processing system for automatic inspection, production monitoring and parts recognition in production engineering.

Its compact design, networking capability via PROFIBUS-DP, performance and economy make the VS 710 suitable for areas previously reserved for other technologies for reasons of cost.

Examples of applications are:

  • Assembly systems for automotive sub-suppliers and electrical engineering; alignment detection on parts infeed, check for completeness (presence, position, dimensions, shape, contour, surface)
  • Bottling in the drinks, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries; label inspection, lid inspection, level detection, bottle sorting, inspection of returned empties
  • Packaging machines for folded cartons and blister packs; inspection of shape (contours), seal and completeness
  • Conveyor and lifting technology; identification and alignment recognition of bundles, identification of parts, automatic position control of cranes, etc.
