Ontor Limited appointed Distributor for Sprecher + Schuh  Ontor Limited are pleased to announce that we have been appointed Distributor for Sprecher + Schuh in select regions. Sprecher + Schuh offers offers a wide range of low-voltage industrial control products, including contactors, a variety of relays, starters, push buttons, switches, terminals and controllers. Background:  Sprecher + Schuh has provided reliable control and protection solutions for its customers since 1903, when the company was founded in Aarau, Switzerland, by two entrepreneurial engineers. Carl Sprecher and Heinrich Schuh combined their talents to produce some of the most innovative low-voltage control products of their day, including automatic switches, overload devices, high-interrupting capacity fuses, and some of the first oilbreakers.  Along with a mission for continual product development and improvement, Sprecher + Schuh was equally interested in promoting the growth of the industry as a whole. In 1906, Sprecher + Schuh played a key role in the formation of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The visionary stance of the IEC was to standardize electrical equipment for the world market, and ultimately facilitate the application of products like ours internationally. Through efforts of the Commission, such standards as DIN and VDE were adopted with the participation of manufacturers - but more importantly, with the support of industry engineers and people who actually used the equipment.

Funding for Qualified Productivity Improvement Projects

Thanks to funding provided by the Government of Ontario, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has created the SMART Program.  They're looking for productivity improving projects such as lean design and lean manufacturing, quality improvement, energy efficiency, IT best practices, and environmental impact reduction and will support the best projects proposed, with 50% funding up to $50,000.
